Image for Stylist magazine
Life moves on and so do we. But how do you capture that in a single image? Art Director Lyndsey Salah explains why this image, for UK’s Stylist magazine nails it
I saw this image in Stylist Magazine (17th October) for an editorial feature on clubbing. An analogue ‘polaroid’ photo, the photo frame within the poster frame within the landscape frame, our past recedes into the distance. A nod to the lost, girlish world of Dorothy’s sparkly shoes of the Wizard of Oz? Who was this person?
I love the use of a ‘Lost’ poster to show a piece of you that has been lost as you’ve grown. It gave me a feeling of nostalgia. I wonder… what beloved item and description would you add to your ‘Lost’ poster?
